Vuoden 2020 viimeisten päivien aika. On turha varmaan mainita kuinka poikkeuksellinen vuosi on ollut kyseessä. Kenellekään vuosi ei ole ollut sellainen kuin olisi kuvitellut sen olevan. Monia radikaaleja muutoksia ja toisinaan epämiellyttäviä määräyksiä on jouduttu sisäistämään niin töissä, kouluissa, vapaa-ajalla, harrastuksissa kuin ruokakaupassa käydessäkin.
Kiitos seuran jäsenille ymmärtävästä ja esimerkillisestä asenteesta globaali tilanne huomioon ottaen. Älkäämme muuttako tätä seuraavanakaan vuonna, vaan pyrkikäämme tanssikulttuurin kehittämiseen ja ylläpitämiseen mitä monipuolisimmalla teoillamme itseksemme ja yhdessä. Pysytään joulun aika terveinä ja pidetään muutkin terveinä ja viettäkäämme turvallista vuoden vaihdetta.
Kiitämme lämpimästi kuluneesta vuodesta ja toivotamme hyvää joulun odotusta!

1. Cometsin kevään 2021 kurssiaikataulut ja ilmoittautuminen
Ilmoittautuminen aukeaa 16.12.2020 ja kurssit alkavat 18.1.2021.
Keväällä on tarjolla paljon soolotiiviskursseja ja uutuutena mm. akrokurssi.
- Paritanssikursseille ilmoittaudutaan vain parin kanssa ja parinvaihtoa ei toistaiseksi ole.
- Seuraamme tilannetta ja tiedotamme, mikäli kauden aloitusta joudutaan siirtämään.
- Kursseille otetaan normaalia vähemmän osallistujia, jotta tanssijoilla olisi riittävät turvavälit. (12 neliömetriä/pari)
- Jos alkukaudesta perutaan tunteja, muutetaan kurssimaksu vastaamaan toteutuneita tanssitunteja.
- Kurssit laskutetaan kauden puolivälissä silloin tiedossa olevan kurssien toteutumismäärän mukaisesti.

3. Comets Clubin salien vaparikäyttö
Comets Clubin salien vapaaharjoituskäyttö 30.11.-20.12.2020 on sallittu
Päivitys 17.1.2020: rajoituksia jatketaan 10.1.2021 asti
• sooloharjoitukseen,
• A-luokan kilpailijoille ja
• säännöllisesti keskenään harjoitteleville vakiopareille, jolloin tanssiharjoitus ei synnytä lähikontaktia uuteen henkilöön.
Kussakin salissa saa treenata enimillään kaksi henkilöä kerrallaan.
Maskivelvoite on voimassa toistaiseksi ainakin pukuhuoneissa ja aulatiloissa, missä ei pystytä varmistamaan riittäviä turvavälejä.
Cometsin hallitus voi kieltää salin käytön, jos henkilörajoituksia ja siivousohjeita ei noudateta tai tartuntatilanne muuttuu.
Muistathan tulla salille vain terveenä ja turvallisuus- ja hygieniaohjeita noudattaen.
4. Kouvolan GP-kisojen ja WRRC Online world cupin tulokset
Onneksi olkoon Elise ja Samuel juniorien BW 1. ja Bugg 2. sijasta, Helena ja Timo BW, Fuskun ja Rockabillyn 1. sijoista ja Lindy Hopin 2. sijasta sekä Anna ja Masi Boogie Woogien A-luokan 1. sijasta!

Cometsin Anna ja Masi juhlistivat itsenäisyyspäivää edustaen Suomea World Rock’n’Roll Confederation online maailmancupissa. Onneksi olkoon kolmannesta sijasta!

MEMBERS’ LETTER 12/2020
The last days of the year 2020. It’s quite unnecessary to mention how exceptional this year has been. The year hasn’t been to anyone like imagined. We had to adjust to many radical changes and sometimes unpleasant orders at work, schools, free time, hobbies and even at shops.
Thank you to the members of Comets for your understanding and exemplary attitude concerning the global situation around us. Let’s not change our actions next year either, let’s aim to the development of the dance culture and maintaining it with our various actions by ourselves and together. Let’s stay healthy during the holiday season and let’s keep each other healthy by spending a safe new year.
We thank you for this year and wish you merry Christmas and happy holidays!

1. Comets spring 2021 schedule and registration
The spring schedule is published! The registration opens at 16.12.2020 and courses start 18.1.2021.
In the spring, Comets organizes many solo courses and for example a novelty is an acrobatic course.
Please note the following procedures due to the epidemic risk and to ensure more safety to dance.
- The registration is only with a partner in dance couple dance courses and there’s no changing couples.
- We are following the situation and inform you in case we have to postpone the beginning of the season.
- the maximum group sizes for the spring courses have to be limited in order to ensure safety distance (12 square metres/couple)
- In case the courses have to be cancelled due to regulations issued by the authorities in the beginning of the season, the course fee will be adjusted to the lessons organised.
- The courses are invoiced in the mid-season according to the amount of lessons that is known or expected.

3. Practicing at the Comets Club
Exceptionally 30.11. – 20.12.2020 the use of Comets Club is allowed for
• solo practice
• Class A competitors
• partners practicing regularly together when practicing does not create new contacts
There can be only two members training at a time in one room.
You are required to wear a facemask at least in the changing room and in the lobby of the Comets Club where you can’t maintain a safety distance.
The board of the Comets can restrict the use of club if the restrictions and cleaning instructions aren’t followed or coronavirus situation changes.
Please remember to come to the Comets Club only as healthy and to follow the safety and hygiene instructions.

4. GP and WRRC competitions results
Congratulations to Elise and Samuel for the junior Boogie Woogie 1st and Bugg 2nd place, Helena and Timo for BW, Fusku and Rockabilly 1st places and Lindy Hop 2nd place as well as Anna and Masi for Boogie Woogie Main Class 1st place!
Comets competitors’ GP Kouvola 28.11. results
Only competitors in the class A and juniors could participate.
Anna and Masi celebrated the independence day of Finland by representing in the World Rock’n’Roll Confederation Online World Cup. Congratulations for the 3rd place!
WRRC Online World Cup results
Anna and Masi will compete in the next WRRC competition on 20th December.
