Syksyn kurssien maksimiryhmäkokoja joudutaan valitettavasti rajoittamaan normaalia pienemmiksi koronariskin johdosta. Kursseille ja vapaaharjoitteluun otetaan osallistujia korkeintaan tanssisalien lattiapinta-alasta laskettu maksimimäärä (henkilö per 6 neliömetriä).

Kursseille suositellaan ilmoittautumista parin kanssa ja tanssimista ilmoittautumisparin kanssa koko kurssin ajan. Jos kumpikin pareista haluaa osallistua parinvaihtoon, on se mahdollista, mikäli koronatilanne niin sallii. Kursseille on mahdollista ilmoittautua myös ilman paria, jolloin kurssin alussa voi sopia tanssivansa kurssin jonkun muun ilman paria ilmoittautuneen kanssa tai osallistua parinvaihtoon muiden sitä haluavien kanssa. Koronatilanteen mahdollisesti heikentyessä parinvaihdossa siirrytään pienparinvaihtoon 3 parin kesken tai kokonaan tanssimaan vain saman parin kanssa.

Osalle kursseista järjestetään auditio, jossa valitaan kurssille sisään pääsevät tanssijat taitotason mukaan. Tällä varmistetaan, että tanssijalla on tarvittava lähtötaso omaksua kurssilla opetettavat uudet asiat. Lisää tietoa auditiosta kyseisten kurssien kohdalla myClubissa.

Osallistujista on jatkossa pidettävä kirjaa. Osallistujat kirjataan jokaisella tunnilla ja myös vapaaharjoituksissa on tärkeää merkitä kaikki läsnäolijat. Vapaaharjoitusten kaikki osallistujat on merkittävä joko kalenterivaraukseen tai Comets-salin eteisessä olevaan vaparilokikirjaan.

Kurssikalenteriin on varattu mahdollisuuksien mukaan vaihtoaikaa opetustuntien välille. Muutamilla kouluilla ei ole saatu vaihtoaikaa, mutta niistä löytyvät isot aulatilat, joissa voi odottaa oman tunnin alkua.

Mikäli et osallistu parinvaihtoon ja oma vakioparisi on estynyt tulemaan yksittäiselle kurssikerralle, voit tuoda mukanasi korvaavan parin, joka on Cometsin jäsen. Cometsin kursseille saavat osallistua vain jäsenet.

Kurssien laskutus

Kurssit laskutetaan kauden puolivälissä.

Mikäli kurssi on jouduttu keskeyttämään ennen kauden puolta väliä tai kauden puolivälissä laskutushetkellä on tiedossa, että kurssia ei voida viedä normaalisti läpi viranomaisten antamien määräysten takia, muutetaan kurssimaksu vastaamaan todellisten opetustuntien osuutta. Tällöin et joudu maksamaan peruutetuista tunneista.

Mikäli myöhemmin loppukaudella kurssien laskuttamisen jälkeen käy ilmi, että tunteja joudutaan perumaan viranomaismääräysten takia, ei laskutettuja kurssimaksuja enää korjata. Peruutettujen tuntien osalta selvitetään mahdollisuuksia myöhempään korvaavaan lähiopetukseen tai etäopetustunteihin, mutta emme pysty sitoutumaan korvaavan opetuksen järjestämiseen.

Comets on voittoa tavoittelematon seura, jossa seuran vapaaehtoiset järjestävät tanssikursseja ilman korvausta kaikille seuran jäsenille. Seura ei siis kerää kursseista voittoa, jota voitaisiin palauttaa seuran jäsenille, mikäli kursseja jouduttaisiin keskeyttämään loppukaudesta. Nykyisessä epävarmassa tilanteessa pyydämme jäseniltämme ymmärrystä seuran hallituksen päättämän kurssien laskutustavan suhteen.

Information about autumn courses and how to register to them

Unfortunately, the maximum group sizes for the autumn courses will have to be limited due to coronary risk. The maximum number of participants in the courses and free practicing has been calculated in proportion to the floor area of the rooms (6 square meters per person).

It is recommended to sign up for the course with a partner and dance with him or her throughout the course. If both want to change partners during the lesson, it is possible if the corona situation then allows it. It is also possible to sign up for the course without a dance partner. In that case at the beginning of the course you can agree on to dance the course with someone else who has registered without a partner or participate to a pair change with others who want it. In the case of a possible deterioration in the corona situation there will be either a small pair change between 3 pairs or everyone has to dance with one partner.

An audit will be held for some of the courses, in which the dancers who enter the course will be selected according to their skill level. This ensures that the dancer has the necessary entry level to absorb the new things taught in the course. Learn more about auditing for those courses at myClub.

A record of the participants must be kept. Participants are listed in every lesson and it is also important to mark everyone present in free practice. All participants in the free practice must be entered either in the calendar reservation or in the logbook in the lobby of the Comets Club.

Proceeding on courses

The course calendar includes an exchange time between lessons. In the few schools it has not been possible to have exchange time, but there are large lobby areas where you can wait for your own lesson to start.

If you dance only with one partner and your own partner is prevented from coming for a single lesson, you can bring a compensatory pair who is a Comets member. Only members are allowed to attend Comets courses.

Charging of the courses

Courses are charged in the mid-season.

If the course had to be interrupted before the middle of the period or if at the time of invoicing it is known that the course cannot be continued due to regulations issued by the authorities, the course fee is changed to correspond to the actual teaching hours. In this case, you will not have to pay for canceled hours.

If the course has to be cancelled due to official regulations in the latter part of the period and after the invoicing of the courses, the invoiced course fees will no longer be corrected. For canceled lessons, we explore opportunities to hold lessons later or use digital platforms. We will not be able to commit to compensatory teaching.

Comets is a non-profit association where club volunteers organize dance classes for all club members without payment. Thus, the association does not collect profits from the courses, which could be returned to the members if the courses have to be cancelled for the rest of the season. In the current uncertain situation, we request our members to understand the method of charging decided by the association’s board.
